Spooky Hollow

This weekend my Husband and I ventured to Spooky Hollow Road. Given that we are both fans of the eerie and unfamiliar, we were both taken aback when we learned some of the history of this road. The name in itself was enough to draw my interest. And, although we did not experience anything supernatural, the Hamlet of Normandale’s winding, next-to-untouched character was supernatural in itself, and proved a perfect spot for my writing inspiration.

As we walked along the tree-lined paths, feeling as though we were the only ones for miles around, because we were, it was easy to slip into the green tranquility until, that is, the tall old trees would cry out like old doors swinging open and closed.

There was something very haunting about the scene without question. Just as all places and people are haunted by the past events that transpired. You better believe that when the sun began to set we high-tailed it out of there, thrilled with our experience!
