What I’ve noticed
Time again
It all adds up
In the end
We look around
We feel at loss
We’d trade it in
At any cost
We’d like to climb
Out of our skin
Tired, worn out,
Stretched so thin
We shake our heads
Ask how and why
We look up
We plead we cry
Like a fever
We surely brake
We crack a smile
Though sometimes fake
Time moves on
We’re back on track
The tug is there
We give some slack
Then our friend comes
To our side
Broken, bleeding,
No where to hide
By the world
They feel deceived
A tangled web
So tightly weaved
We know the feeling,
We feel the tug
We reach out
We give a hug
Sometimes the lessons
Aren’t ours alone
They show us things
We wouldn’t have known
So we can be there
To lend a hand
To say we’ve seen it
And help them stand
What I’ve noticed
Time again
It all adds up
In the end
