Boiling Over

No matter how hard we try, no matter how great we are at talking ourselves out of negativity, we have days where it all boils over. Mondays, the phase of the moon, or whatever the cause – it happens. Someone or something will make us lose our cool sometimes. And, it’s ok. In our times of panic, rage, frustration, defeat, we need to give ourselves the slack we’ve got and trust that there is a lesson within the pain, even if the lesson is as simple as to wake up 5 minutes earlier so your mornings start more smoothly, or to be more aware of the lessons that are presented for our children in difficult or irritating times, instead of reacting to how frustrating it is for us. Or, it can be, as complex as realizing that you hate your job, that it doesn’t fulfill you and that you want to change directions completely. When you feel it happening, the bubbling over, or if it’s just happened, or if it happened yesterday; forgive yourself, apologize if needed, and then look to the deeper meaning. In life, we know, just like in school, if we don’t learn the lesson, we’ll have to repeat it until we do. Where are the patterns of boiling over? Why?
