The Gathering: Heaven and Hell on Earth

Happy Sunday and welcome to The Gathering.
I’m not religious, but the thoughts of the afterlife, like for everyone has been on my mind throughout this life. The idea that how we act in this life may have an effect on what happens to us afterwards. It’s something to consider. But to me, with all I know, I can’t dispute that what I’ve got right now is all I know I’ll get. Sometimes it’s like Heaven and Hell are right here on earth and we live through them both.
So to me Hell is..
Growing bitter
Getting lost
Mourning the death of a life taken too soon
Fearing to walk down the street alone at night
Feeling that your light is burnt out
Living a lie
Not knowing how to right a wrong
Not being able to apologize
Avoiding things
When you can’t sleep at night
Getting to the end of your life with too many regrets
Learning the tough lessons
Heaven is...
When you recognize the importance of a moment
When everything works out in the end
Being loved and loving
Being kind
Doing the right thing for your soul
Being there when you’re needed
Being patient with yourself and others
Finding the value in things
Becoming inspired
Making a positive change
A quiet moment
The tough lessons learned
Maybe it’s a state of being... And, we often live somewhere in the middle. Where would you like to go today?
