When we have to cut ties with people in our life, it’s never easy. Sometimes it feels better than others but it’s never easy. In the last year I’ve had some significant relationships end and unfortunately in the last few days as well.

When ending a relationship of any kind, it can come out of the blue in an argument, disagreement or sudden realization, or it can be something that was a long time coming.

There are relationships that we wish we could fix, but with the ones that we truly know we have to walk away from, we know that there can be no fixing or turning back. That doesn’t mean that we can’t mourn the loss some days, we will. That doesn’t mean that we won’t worry about them some days. But be assured that people come into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime; it is not always about us but it is our job to figure out which is which.
