The Gathering: A Magical Life

Welcome to The Gathering, and Happy Sunday! Today in Southern Ontario the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and the sky is blue. Not much more is needed to feel the magic of spring in the air. Spring has a way of making us feel like we’re coming alive again. As we start this new week; as we make our to-do lists and keep going on our spring-cleaning, I’d like us to consider some ways to make our daily lives more magical, whether the weather is permitting or not.
Let us consider the impact these things have on our lives and us, not just their immediate uses and functions.
The colours we choose in our homes and dress, and how they make us feel.
Sentimental items from loved ones near by, and why we keep them close.
Things from nature: plants, rocks, crystals, and wood.
The words we use.
Our breaths – they are required but how often do we give gratitude for them?
What we put on our bodies: lotions, soaps.
What we put in our bodies.
Movement.
The luxury of a clean house, a cooked meal, a good sleep, and a long shower.
Pets, flowers and loved ones.
Getting some sunlight and moonlight everyday.
Magic is all around us, and in us; it is us who has the power to recognize it, use it and appreciate it, should we choose.
Happy Sunday.
