The Gathering - Me and the Man in the Moon

This weekend’s full moon is the last of the winter and it brings with it a fullness to those decisions we made only a few months ago. We follow suit as the ground starts to thaw, we know we’re not quite passed the cold but there are glimmers of things we can remember; feelings we can remember, no matter how much the world around us has changed since the last time we have seen it in full bloom.

As the end of winter is in sight and the dawn of spring is on the horizon, it would seem our own lives and beings can sense the transformation and mirror it. Sweet sparks of liveliness come over us and we begin to shed the layers of the winter; become awoken after the long slumber. Spring is when the new year really begins. Some days are still so cold but we know that warmth, just like the cold, will come again.

As we shed the winter and the past, let’s end this past season and this phase of the moon by looking to the future and not dwelling on what’s behind us.

If only we could look at all endings the same way we look at the end of each season.

Somethings are best settled with just you and the man in the moon.
